FAQ

Frequently asked

Is Sakina free?

Yes — Sakina is free to download worldwide. All seven tracking tools, first-trimester content, 100 Muslim baby names and 5 pregnancy duas are free forever. Premium unlocks all 40 weeks of content, 800 names with Arabic, 25 duas with audio, the full halal food and medication database, Ramadan companion, prayer times for any location, and encrypted cloud sync.

Is Sakina iOS only?

At launch, yes. Sakina is built natively for iPhone with SwiftUI, not a web wrapper — so it’s genuinely fast and offline-first. Android is on the roadmap.

How is Sakina different from Flo, Ovia or Pregnancy+?

Sakina is built specifically for Muslim mothers. That means halal food safety flags on 313 foods, 25 authentic pregnancy duas with audio, 607 Muslim baby names with Arabic script and Quranic roots, a Ramadan fasting companion with suhoor/iftar times, modest visuals throughout, and prayer times on your Today screen. Mainstream pregnancy apps do none of this.

Is Sakina a medical device?

No. Sakina is a general pregnancy companion app for information and tracking, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace the advice of your doctor or obstetrician. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions. Read our full medical disclaimer.

Is my data private?

Yes. All your data lives on your iPhone by default. If you choose to create an account, cloud backup is encrypted and hosted in the EU (Supabase). We never sell your data, run advertising networks on it, or share it with third parties. Read our full privacy policy.

Does Sakina work offline?

All tracking tools (kick counter, contraction timer, symptom log, weight, mood, water, medication) and all downloaded content work completely offline. Your data is always yours, even without internet.
