رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Transliteration
Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa-dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin wa-jʿalnā li-l-muttaqīna imāmā
English meaning
Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders for the righteous.
When to recite
Make this dua often during pregnancy with your spouse — after Isha together, on a quiet walk, while planning your nursery. It is the dua of ʻIbad al-Rahman, the servants of the Most Merciful, asking that their families become a coolness to the eye and that they be examples for the righteous. A beautiful intention to set before your child even arrives.
