Audio recitation
Audio plays in the background and shows on your iPhone lock screen.
اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ
Transliteration
Allāhumma bika amsaynā wa-bika aṣbaḥnā wa-bika naḥyā wa-bika namūtu wa-ilayka l-maṣīr
English meaning
O Allah, by You we enter the evening and by You we enter the morning; by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the final return.
When to recite
The evening counterpart to the morning du’a — recite as Maghrib approaches. It seals the day in trust and gratitude before you and your baby rest. Add it to your bedtime wind-down routine in pregnancy: dua, then a short Qur’an recitation, then sleep. Your baby hears the rhythm of your voice in the womb; let some of those sounds be the names of Allah.
