Transliteration
Allāhumma bika aṣbaḥnā wa-bika amsaynā wa-bika naḥyā wa-bika namūtu wa-ilayka n-nushūr
English meaning
O Allah, by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening; by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.
When to recite
Begin every day of pregnancy with this dua taught by the Prophet ﷺ, recited as the sun rises. It places your morning, your day, your living and your dying in Allah’s hands. It takes less than a minute, but it sets the tone for everything: from your breakfast to your antenatal appointment to how you parent the small life inside you.
